She holds an MFA from the Programs in Writing at UC Irvine, where she edited the program's literary journal and received the Excellence in Poetry award. She is a PhD student in English at UCLA, where she is a Cota-Robles fellow.

She has taught creative writing (poetry + fiction), as well as rhetoric on the topic of AI, climate change, and immigration at UC Irvine. Recently, she taught creative writing to incarcerated undergraduate students at Donovan State Prison, for which she received a Division of Teaching Excellence & Innovation Fellowship.
