Sara Son is a poet and writer from Queens, NY.

She holds an MFA from the Programs in Writing at UC Irvine, where she received the Excellence in Poetry award, and will begin her PhD in English at UCLA this fall.

▶ interests / research

technology and labor; philosophy of technology; poetry; psychoanalysis; failure; religious studies; memory; and 20-21st c. literature.

▶ teaching

She has taught creative writing (poetry + fiction), as well as rhetoric on the topic of AI, climate change, and immigration at UC Irvine. Recently, she taught creative writing to incarcerated undergraduate students at Donovan State Prison, for which she received a Division of Teaching Excellence & Innovation Fellowship.
